Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients step down from ICU without vents or pressor support. This role involves managing telemetry patients and initiating cardiac drips as per protocol, including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotolol.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage cardiac telemetry patients.
• Provide patient care in adherence to heparin protocols and manage cardiac drips.
• Document patient care using the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes or emergencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a telemetry or MS/Tele unit.
• Active Tennessee nursing license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• 1 year of EPIC EMR experience is mandatory.
• Must possess experience in managing specific cardiac conditions and procedures.
