Job Description

We are seeking a skilled RN with strong nursing skills and time management for our Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown unit. The unit comprises 30 beds, including 22 for Acute Care and 8 for Neuro Stepdown, with patient ratios of 6:1 on Acute Care and 4:1 on Neuro stepdown. The role involves contributing to patient care during bedside shift reports, establishing personal connections with patients, and participating in daily huddles.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown settings.
• Engage in bedside shift reporting to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize critical thinking skills for patient assessment and decision-making.
• Perform common procedures such as lumbar puncture and chest tube placement.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required for Acute Care; BLS and ACLS required for Neuro Stepdown.
• Prior acute care and stepdown nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills necessary for the role.
