CVICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to provide top-tier care to patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in acute care nursing, with specific experience managing fresh open-heart cases. You will work closely with patients who are on ventilators, chest tubes, and other critical care devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures.
• Assist with ventilator management, chest tube insertion and removal, and post-operative care.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for any signs of complications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Float to various ICUs, PACU, and IMC units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required.
• Experience in CVICU with fresh open hearts (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR).
• New Jersey or Compact RN License required at the time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT preferred.
