Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with on-call requirements including days, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.

Job Description

Under the direction and supervision of a radiologist/physician, the Radiologic Technologist performs specialized radiographic procedures and general diagnostic procedures as required. The role requires independent judgment and application of learned methodologies according to established policies and procedures. The technologist educates patients and families regarding procedures and treatments to be performed, produces high-quality images, and prepares and presents images for timely interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures following and verifying referring provider orders.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and maintain accurate documentation.
• Evaluate equipment for quality control and troubleshoot to maintain performance.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, adhering to radiation safety policies.
• Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies to ensure non-interruption of service.
• Perform other related duties as required and directed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Cath lab experience - Required
• AHA BLS certification - Required
• Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program - Required
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist - Required
• One year of related job experience - Required
• Michigan license verification - required for nurses
