Job Description

The Med Surg Nurse will provide exceptional nursing care to patients on a Medical Surgical unit during night shifts. The nurse will ensure comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to implement care plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and administer medication as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Document patient care activities using Cerner EMR system.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years preferred in a Med Surg unit.
• Current Tennessee RN License.
• BLS certification required.
