Schedule

Days, 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM. One night of call per week (7 PM - 7 AM) and one weekend of call per month (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night, 7 PM - 7 AM).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our surgical services team. The RNFA will work in a dynamic environment assisting in a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including orthopedic, general, endo-vascular, urgent care, and OB. The role requires a commitment to high standards of patient care, adherence to policies, and responsiveness during on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures by providing advanced surgical care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surgical techniques and tools.
• Comply with attendance policies and dedication to patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in surgical nursing or RNFA role.
• Preferred experience in orthopedic, general, endo-vascular, urgent care, and OB.
• Certification as RNFA or CSTFA.
• Current Michigan nursing license verification required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
