Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform Nuclear Medicine studies, preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes under the direction of the Radiologist. The technologist will also conduct quality control and calibration testing on cameras and radiation measuring equipment, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and procedures while following radiation safety techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine studies and administer radiopharmaceuticals.
• Conduct quality control and calibration testing on imaging equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures during the handling of radioactive materials.
• Organize and perform daily workflow to maintain smooth operation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Graduate of Nuclear Medicine School or ARRT Registered Technologist.
• Ability to start IVs for contrast administration and properly charge procedures through the hospital information system.
• ARRT or NMTCB registered or registry pending.
• NDMIRTBE licensed or have a temporary license.
• Recent travel experience required; Cerner experience strongly preferred.
• Local candidates not accepted due to a 50-mile radius rule.
