Job Description

This is a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 Trauma center. We cater to inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team and are responsible for the pre-procedural preparation of patients and post-procedural recovery, including overnight observation care. Experience with GI post-procedural care is preferred but not required. This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who want to work in the high-energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging. We specialize in providing care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRI's, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound. Good communication skills, as well as the ability to critically think, are essential. If you are team-oriented, enthusiastic, flexible, and organized, come join our team! Medical/Surgical and telemetry experience preferred. The RN is responsible for pre/post and 23-hour care for IR patients and for caring for patients boarding overnight pre or post-procedure. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Registered IR Nursing experience.
• Telemetry Experience is required.
• New York RN license.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) required.
• ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY) required.
