Radiation Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to administer radiation treatments to patients with cancer, following a radiation oncologist's treatment plan. This role involves operating and maintaining radiation machines, ensuring correct patient positioning, and monitoring patients for any adverse reactions during treatment. Detailed treatment records must be kept, and patient education and support will be provided using communication systems while patients are in the treatment room.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments as per oncologist's plan.
• Operate and maintain radiation treatment machines.
• Ensure correct patient positioning for accurate treatment.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during treatment.
• Maintain detailed records of each treatment session.
• Provide patient education and support throughout the treatment process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field is required.
• ARRT (T) certification is required.
• Michigan license verification is required for nurses.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
