Med Surg Nurse - 7p-7a Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7 PM to 7 AM with a ratio of 1:5. Requires 6 weekend shifts over a 6-week scheduling period.

Job Description

Join a 14-bed Med Surg unit where you will provide high-quality care to patients. Responsibilities include preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications, changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. You will also adjust specialized medical equipment, interpret and record measurements, and monitor patients' vitals, reporting any adverse reactions to medications promptly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications.
• Change dressings and perform catheter insertions.
• Start IVs and adjust medical equipment as needed.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to adverse reactions timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current nursing license and relevant experience in a Med Surg unit preferred.
