Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our General OR team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in multiple surgical specialties, specifically in Orthopedic, Thoracic, Vascular, and Robotics. This role demands proficiency in various surgical procedures and strong familiarity with the Epic charting system.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and handling of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Ensure a sterile environment and adhere to aseptic techniques.
• Assist in surgical procedures, providing support for various specialties.
• Participate in patient safety initiatives, including time-out procedures.
• Help care for patients pre and post-surgery as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years surgical tech experience in a variety of specialties.
• Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• BCLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma center strongly preferred.
