Nursing Position – 2nd Medical Building

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday); weekdays flexible.

Job Description

The nursing role is within the 2nd Medical Building, featuring 28 beds with patient ratios of 5-6:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. The unit is supported by a Unit Secretary and 2-3 Patient Care Technicians during the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support in accordance with established guidelines.
• Utilize equipment such as Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter equipment, and remote telemetry.
• Document patient information using the Meditech system.
• Perform IV and Foley catheter placements as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Strong assessment skills.
• Experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets.
• Certifications preferred: BLS, NIH, CPI.
