Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location

Position available in a facility located in the Compact Nursing License Area.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift scheduled from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Registered Nurse with a focus on Med-Surg to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Compact or AL RN license.
• BLS certification is required.
• One year of Med-Surg nursing experience is required.
• CERNER experience is preferred.
• Must be greater than 50 miles from the facility.
