Job Description

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is seeking a registered nurse (RN) with critical care experience to join our dynamic team. This high-acuity environment is fast-paced and requires strong clinical skills for managing a variety of complex cases, including respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, multisystem organ failure, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients.
• Manage ventilator settings and administer medication as needed.
• Assist in procedures such as central line placements, intubations, and thoracentesis.
• Monitor vital signs and interpret lab values to adjust care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an intensive care unit.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC for charting.
• Ability to float to similar units as needed.
