This position requires a night shift from 18:30 to 07:00, working 3x12-hour shifts.

Job Description

The MICU RN will be responsible for providing care to medically complex and critically ill patients. The role involves managing respiratory failure of various etiologies requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation, cardiac emergencies, multisystem organ failure, and other critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop patient care plans.
• Provide direct patient care including administering medications and managing ventilators.
• Perform procedures such as central and arterial line placements, chest tube placements, and rapid sequence intubation as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Be prepared to float to tele units based on census needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
