Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend coverage required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will be responsible for providing exceptional care for patients during labor and delivery. The role includes triaging pregnant patients, assisting in high-risk deliveries, performing neonatal care, and administering medications. The ideal candidate will have experience in a tertiary care hospital and proficiency in Epic charting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Provide neonatal care in the delivery room.
• Administer medications and manage pain relief.
• Implement care for patients with various complications including pre-eclampsia and other high-risk conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Must hold a current New York state nursing license.
• Certifications required: EFM, NRP, BLS; ACLS or OB-ACLS preferred.
• Proficiency in Epic charting system is mandatory.
