Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including the potential to float between various units. The role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical/surgical telemetry unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and recovery plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 12 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg tele.
• MUST HAVE a Permanent Ohio nursing license or Compact State License.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is also required.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate certification must be obtained during orientation.
• Required references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty are necessary for submission.
