Sunday to Thursday, 2300-0730. No on-call required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Adult PACU unit. The unit has 18 bays and operates with a team of 25 staff. Currently transitioning to 24/7 coverage, the RN will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and assessing the recovery process.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 during initial recovery or ICU level of care and 2:1 when stable.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
• Document patient progress and interventions using Meditech Magic EMR.
• Respond to emergency situations with appropriate interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience required.
• ICU level of care competency required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• CPAN and TCAR certifications are preferred.
