Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will work in a high-acuity setting that includes managing a diverse range of patient cases from low to high acuity, including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and behavioral health issues. This role necessitates excellent clinical skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Manage critical situations effectively, including but not limited to trauma and acute care boarding.
• Utilize EPIC charting for accurate and timely patient data management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an Emergency Department setting.
• Current licenses and certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
• Proficiency in the Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and critical care scenarios.
