MS/Tele Float RN Charge Nurse

4x12-Hour shifts, from 07:00 to 19:30.

Job Description

The MS/Tele Float RN Charge Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a variety of settings including medicine-surgery and telemetry. This role requires flexibility to float between different units as necessary to meet institutional needs. The nurse will ensure optimal patient care while managing a nurse-to-patient ratio that varies between 1:4 to 1:6, depending on unit acuity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to a diverse patient population including ER boarded patients, tele, and med-surg.
• Oversee unit operations and fulfill charge responsibilities including staff management and bed flow coordination for selected small units.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy services.
• Provide management and interpretation of dysrhythmias and administer isolation precautions as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of charge nurse experience within a clinical setting.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is mandatory.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
