Registered Nurse - Progressive Critical Care Unit

Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region. Responsibilities include managing patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. Nurses must be competent in the care of both medical and surgical populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced hemodynamic management, including pressor usage per titration protocols.
• Administer antihypertensive, sedative, naloxone, and thrombo-embolic drips.
• Monitor and manage CVP, EVD, and ortho traction protocols.
• Implement infection prevention protocols.
• Utilize high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPap/Cpap, and oxypendent devices.
• Maintain a patient load of approximately three high-acuity patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• Current RN license required in the state of practice.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience in large-scale adult PCU and community hospital ICU is preferred.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
