Registered Nurse - Inpatient Rehabilitation

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 12-Hour Night Shift; 36 Hour Guarantee; Every 3rd Weekend

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering patient care consistent with the health system's mission, vision, and values. The RN will assume responsibility and accountability for the care of the assigned patients during their shift, following nursing processes that include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care utilizing age-specific criteria. This position also involves collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team and providing education to patients and families to facilitate discharge processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using nursing processes and principles.
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families about care and discharge planning.
• Assist in directing and teaching non-RN staff, including LPNs and PCTs.
• Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and be on call as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Ability to float to all units within skill level.
