Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Lab

Job Description

Join our dynamic Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Holding Area team, where nurses provide specialized care across the continuum of procedural services. The Holding Area serves as a critical hub for pre-procedure preparation, post-procedure recovery, and Phase I/II PACU-level care for patients with coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure. Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, procedural support, hemodynamic monitoring, moderate-sedation recovery, and management of acute and non-acute clinical situations in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment committed to exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
• Provide education to patients regarding procedures.
• Support procedural activities in the Cardiac Lab.
• Monitor hemodynamic status during and after procedures.
• Assist with moderate-sedation recovery.
• Manage acute and non-acute clinical situations.

Schedule

This position involves a 40-hour work week with 4 ten-hour shifts, including day/night rotation and occasional weekends as per unit needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA)
• Telemetry experience
• Recent experience in Cath Lab and EP Lab is highly desired
• CVICU/Cardiac Care experience preferred
