Day shift: 0645 to 1915, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.

Job Description

This position is for a Progressive Care RN in a 15-bed unit featuring step-down ICU and telemetry services. The nurse will provide primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, and perform fingerstick blood sugar tests. The role requires floating to other acute care units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret telemetry strips.
• Administer fingerstick blood sugar tests.
• Float to medical, surgical, pediatrics, ICU, and ER units as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year; Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred.
• Active Hawaii RN license required before the start of assignment.
• ACLS and current PALS certification preferred.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
