Days, 3x12 shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate must have graduated from an approved program and be experienced in various laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiology tests including gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures.
• Conduct blood bank testing and be proficient in phlebotomy.
• Ensure compliance with COVID regulations including proper use of PPE and handling isolation rooms.
• Work independently and efficiently multitask while prioritizing daily activities.
• Cover Thursday night shifts and fill in for staffing vacancies as needed.
• Be available to work weekends, rotating approximately every 5th weekend, and holidays as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of an approved MT or MLT program.
• Experience in microbiology preferred; blood culture experience is essential.
• Strong phlebotomy skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and communicate proficiently.
