7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) plays a critical role in delivering essential healthcare services. The RN will provide excellent patient care and will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients with a variety of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the patient experience and collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients.
• Conduct assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in emergency procedures such as intubations and conscious sedation.
• Administer care for stroke patients and manage chest pain cases.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted).
• Current certifications in PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS.
• At least 2 years of emergency room nursing experience.
• Preferred: CEN certification and experience with Meditech.
