Registered Nurse - Pre/Post Operative Care

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in pre/post operative care to join our team in a Level II Trauma Center. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, and participating in same-day surgeries, inpatient admissions, and observational patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions throughout the perioperative process.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
