Sterile Processing Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Mid Shift: 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:30) with rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments are processed safely and efficiently. This position requires a high level of quality and attention to detail, as the SPD team specializes in various surgical cases including Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Process surgical instruments and equipment using proper sterilization and cleaning techniques.
• Maintain an organized and efficient sterile processing area.
• Pick surgical cases based on supply knowledge and preference cards.
• Float to other units as needed, providing support across departments.
• Participate in quality control measures to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Required certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA.
• Experience with instrumentation management systems, preferably SPM.
