Registered Nurse - Observation Unit

Schedule

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:00 - 18:00)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in the Observation Unit. This role includes managing ER hold patients, performing nursing assessments, and implementing patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' conditions and document findings in the charting system.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Float between units and assist where needed as part of a team approach.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current California state license; no pending licenses accepted.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Previous charge experience and experience working in Emergency or Observation Units is preferred.
