Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. The nurse will deliver high-quality care to patients during labor, preterm labor, and post-operative recovery in a busy facility with multiple labor and triage rooms.

Responsibilities

• Attend all deliveries and manage high-risk deliveries.
• Circulate for C-sections and provide post-operative care.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies including magnesium sulfate and insulin drips.
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients and maintain sterile techniques.
• Utilize specialized equipment for patient care, including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and warmer/cooling blankets.

Schedule

The position requires shifts from 07:00 to 19:30 on a 3x12 hour format. Flexibility to float to post-partum and NICU based on skill set is required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Active compact RN license must be in hand at submission.
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate. ACLS is preferred.
• Epic experience is required for charting.
