Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Day Shift: 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including support for labor, preterm labor, and post-operative care. This role requires expertise in circulating, OB-GYN, and low-risk antepartum delivery while attending all deliveries, including high-risk cases.

Responsibilities

• Administer blood and blood products
• Perform cardioversion and defibrillation
• Utilize cooling and warming blankets
• Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps
• Provide couplet care and oversee low-risk antepartum patients
• Participate in GYN surgeries and transition nursery care
• Ensure patient safety through isolation precautions and the use of PPE

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience specifically in Labor and Delivery
• Active Compact RN License
• Current certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system
