Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Histology Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will work within our pathology laboratory, handling various tasks associated with specimen processing.

Responsibilities

• Receiving specimens from surgery and accessioning into Cerner.
• Collecting blocks from PA staff.
• Processing tissues, including embedding, cutting, and staining slides.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in histology, specifically within a pathology laboratory.
• ASCP (HT/HLT) certification is required.
• Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.

Holiday Expectations

The candidate must be willing to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
