This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) shifts are available, with potential for rotation based on operational needs.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele RN is responsible for the care of patients on medical-surgical and telemetry units. This role includes the potential to float to other units and provides care for patients including those on ventilators.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Monitor and document patient status and response to treatment.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient health outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Float as required to meet operational needs of the hospital.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing.
• 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience is required.
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate proficiency required prior to orientation.
