Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 12-hour night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. The RN is a critical member of the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU), which cares for a high volume of cardiology patients annually. The unit specializes in procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. Care is provided to approximately 300 open heart surgery patients and those with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions in the Cardiovascular Unit.
• Administer medication and execute treatment plans.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Stepdown Unit.
• Proficiency in Cardiac care.
• Comfortability with EKG interpretation.
• Must hold a valid Michigan RN license; LARA and Nursys verification required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
