Dialysis Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10-Hour schedule, Monday to Friday, from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm. Rotating Saturdays may require shifts from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm, either 8 or 12 hours depending on department needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dialysis Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced dialysis environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both acute and outpatient dialysis settings and the ability to handle various clinical situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Administer dialysis treatments to patients
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies
• Manage dialysis equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Educate patients and families about dialysis procedures and aftercare
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting, utilizing Epic system
• Provide support and training to new staff and travelers

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of dialysis nursing experience required
• New graduates are not eligible; prior charge experience is preferred
• Must possess a valid NY nursing license
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory
