Job Description

The Patient Care Unit Registered Nurse will be part of a diversely skilled team within a Level I Trauma center, providing essential nursing care across multiple adult health units. The role includes floating to various departments as needed to support patient care needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to adult health patients across various medical units.
• Float as needed to provide support in PCU, IMC, Med Surg, or the ED and PACU.
• Adhere to established protocols and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Manage medication administration and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of recent PCU experience.
• Active RN license with no hits on state license.
• Current life support certifications - BLS and ACLS from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
• Driver's license to verify residency.
