Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of 3x12 hours, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, plus on-call shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients receiving hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. The RN will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort while administering dialysis treatments, troubleshooting dialysis machines, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Administer hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments to inpatients.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess for any complications during dialysis.
• Support and troubleshoot dialysis machines, including Tablo and Baxter Claria Homechoice.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Educate patients and families about dialysis procedures and care.
• Collaborate with ICU nurses and other interdisciplinary support teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in dialysis nursing.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to cannulate AV fistula and grafts.
• Experience with acute care inpatient dialysis preferred.
