Schedule / Shift

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. Floating to like units is required.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in an acute care setting. Candidates must have experience with level 1 resuscitation patients, as well as a background in neuro and stroke care. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to float to similar units when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess and triage patients in acute situations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2.5 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
• At least 1 year of neuro/stroke nursing experience.
• Valid RN license in Florida or a compact state.
• ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• Experience with Meditech charting system preferred.
