Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3 night shifts per week, 12 hours per shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 60 minutes of unpaid lunch.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a trauma training unit. The Pediatric ICU has 11 beds with telemetry capability, and additional surge bed capacity managed by ICU trained staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for critically ill pediatric patients requiring intubation, respiratory support, vasoactive drips, central venous lines (CVL), and arterial lines (A-lines).
• Maintain appropriate nurse to patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 based on patient acuity.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish and implement patient care plans.
• Float as necessary to other areas, including Pediatric Emergency Room as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of pediatric ICU nursing experience preferred.
• PALS, BLS, PCAR, and TNCC certifications required.
• BSN preferred; CCRN certification is a plus.
• Previous travel experience is not required.
