Registered Nurse - Preoperative Care

Schedule

3 12-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends and evening shifts as per department needs. Requires 1 scheduled weekend day and 1 second call weekend day per month.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Preoperative Care team in an Acute Care setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care through effective scrubbing and preoperative processes. This role will involve working with advanced surgical technologies, including robotics.

Responsibilities

• Manage preoperative care for patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Perform scrubbing duties as part of the surgical team.
• Maintain IV skills and monitor patient health.
• Documentation and charting using Allscripts and transitioning to EPIC.
• Participate in charge nurse and house supervisor duties as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in surgical care and preoperative processes.
• Strong IV skills are mandatory.
• Familiarity with robotic surgical procedures is preferred.
