Registered Nurse - Cardiac Operating Room

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Traveler is expected to work every other weekend and Holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Operating Room will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and facilitating surgical procedures related to complex thoracic and vascular cases. The ideal candidate should possess strong cardiac experience and a thorough understanding of general and cardiac surgical practices.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the General OR covering specialties such as Ortho, Neuro, Plastics, Vascular, and Trauma.
• Provide support during CVOR procedures including AAA repairs, valve replacements, and CABG.
• Coordinate patient positioning, prepping, and facilitating surgical cases.
• Work collaboratively within the surgical team to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience with a strong background in cardiac care.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• CST preferred for surgical tech responsibilities.
