Radiation Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, Day shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Job Description

The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by physicians. They will work with a robust program that offers various treatment modalities such as brachytherapy, external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and more. The ideal candidate should be proficient with Elekta Linear Accelerators and other imaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed plans.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Utilize advanced treatment modalities and equipment, including simulation with contrast orders.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Elekta Mosaiq and Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current ARRT certification and BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiation therapy.
• Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Knowledge of Gamma Knife radiosurgery and use of Elekta equipment is advantageous.
