Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:30 AM - 06:30 PM); No weekends or holidays required.

Job Description

The Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized nursing care for patients in an outpatient oncology setting. The nurse will work closely with a specific tumor group and administer chemotherapy, manage ports, and support patients in their treatment journey.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage patient care protocols.
• Access and manage ports, including care and maintenance.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and support resources.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and communicate abnormal lab values.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
• Adhere to safety and isolation precautions while providing care.
• Float among clinics as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient oncology experience is required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
• OCN certification is preferred.
