Registered Nurse - Medical Step Down Unit

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 days a week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Step Down Unit. The unit has a capacity of 16-20 beds with a patient to nurse ratio of 1 to 4. You will provide care for patients with various complex medical conditions including:

• Sepsis
• Heart Failure
• Hypertensive Emergency
• Respiratory Failure
• COPD
• Chronic Kidney Disease
• Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
• Substance Abuse
• Status Epilepticus
• Encephalopathy

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include providing nursing care, administering medication, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care. You will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting
• Current RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
