Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

This position offers a 4x12-hour day shift from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM with options for either 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirements include 4-6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery. You will be responsible for assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, managing antepartum care, and ensuring the safety and comfort of mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Assist with high-risk and routine deliveries.
• Circulate during C-sections and recover C-section patients.
• Triage obstetrical patients effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Monitor fetal heart rates using external fetal monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including anticoagulants and insulin drips.
• Maintain and manage central lines (CVC/PICC).
• Provide education and support to families during the labor and delivery process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of nursing experience preferred, particularly in Labor and Delivery.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP. (Pending certifications will be considered).
• Previous charge experience is preferable.
• Experience with Community Hospital charting systems is required.
