Echocardiography Technologist III (Pediatric/Fetal Cardiology)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (08:30 AM - 05:00 PM), on call Monday through Sunday for three weeks.

Job Description

The Echocardiography Technologist III will perform complex congenital heart echocardiograms and fetal echocardiograms independently, analyzing imaging data and presenting findings to physicians. This role requires collaboration with cardiologists regarding fetal echocardiogram findings and assisting with special and invasive cardiac procedures. Education of patients and families regarding procedures and findings is also a critical responsibility, along with maintaining echocardiography equipment and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex congenital heart echocardiograms and fetal echocardiograms independently.
• Analyze imaging data and present findings to physicians.
• Collaborate with cardiologists regarding fetal echocardiogram findings.
• Assist with special and invasive cardiac procedures.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and findings.
• Maintain echocardiography equipment and support quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate Degree in Allied Health or related field, or completion of a 2-4 year Diagnostic Ultrasound program, or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• RDCS or RCS credentialed (or registry eligible through ARDMS or CCI).
• 7-10 years of cardiac clinical ultrasound experience.
• Experience performing pediatric/congenital echocardiograms independently.
