Neuro PCU Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Neuro PCU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in a progressive care unit (PCU), and be committed to delivering high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions. This position is critical for the management of complex patients requiring specialized nursing skills and a collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro PCU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and aftercare.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and offers 24 hours guaranteed. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of PCU experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Active RN license with no hits on state license to practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from an approved provider.
• Driver's license to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
