Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with floating and call required.

Job Description

The Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse will provide general medical-surgical nursing duties within an inpatient nursing unit. This role includes caring for non-critical pediatric patients occasionally. Flexibility in scheduling and readiness for patient census changes are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a medical-surgical unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess their conditions.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Active RN license required.
• Fingerprint clearance for New Mexico travel nurses is required.
