Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheterization Lab

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 - 17:30). Call requirement includes one weekday and one weekend per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and assisting with procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with central line insertion and management, blood product administration, and cardioversion.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations.
• Monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage sheath removal.
• Obtain 12 lead EKGs and assist with the cooling/warming blanket protocol.
• Participate in patient education and provide emotional support to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology setting.
• Active compact RN license.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Experience with blood/blood products administration and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias.
