Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse

Job Description

The Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, evaluating, and delivering safe, appropriate care within the scope of their practice to patients in the perioperative setting. This role demonstrates the ability to work in Pre-Op and PACU patient care settings and requires availability to take on-call as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions before and after surgery.
• Plan and implement appropriate nursing care in conjunction with medical staff.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and medications.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

Schedule

This position has varied shifts from Monday to Friday, with some on-call responsibilities as scheduled.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

The ideal candidate will possess a valid RN license and relevant experience in Pre-Op and PACU settings. Candidates with pending state licenses will also be considered.
